Randle El Gone

How much did it take to lure Randle El away? $31 million dollars over 7 years with year 7 voidable by the Redskins. It includes $11.5 million up front. He turned down the Bear's offer Saturday for $18 million over 6 years. It included $8 million up front. Well, he got his money, but I have a feeling he won't even see year 4 of his contract. If he fails to perform, he won't even see year 3. I would love to know what we offered him. I guess he had to take that crazy offer, what idiot wouldn't? At least the Redskins have a chance to win. The thing that is curious to me is that he signed there knowing Moss is #1 and they traded for Brandon Lloyd Saturday. I know it's Al Saunders, but is he really going to bust out? I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wil not have more than 60 catches. If he gets right around 60 - thats an insane amount of money to pay for it. Al Saunders got a lot of passing yards in KC with very average WRs. Why they needed Moss, Randle El and Lloyd is anyone's guess. They could have used 1 big receiver in their top 3. Oh well, I will miss Randle El's smile, his hard nosed play, his fearless running, his shiftiness and his sensational punt returns. What I won't miss is his dancing before running right up the gut on punts, his very very very mediocre blocking skills or his lack of height. I'm ready for Quincy Morgan to be given a chance...he's more physical and has height....a much more traditional wide out to play outside. I hope Ced goes to the slot and plays Randle El's role from the early years of his career.
