Crown Their Ass

The Browns are who we thought they were. If you want to go ahead and crown their ass, then go ahead....crown them. At 0-2, Winslow is still talking about winning the division but at least he called our defense "great" not "good". Romeo said his team is inches from beating us. Well, that counts, dude....maybe we should just go ahead and give them the win? Steeler football is Willie Parker running, Ben throwing a minimum number of passes and the other team rarely crossing midfield. The Browns? They're who we thought they were......the same old Browns.

A win is a win but it wasn't pretty. Too close for me.
We did ok - I would have liked to have blown their doors off though.
One lucky play and they could have won. And I am going to have a freaking ulcer if we keep getting penalties for flipping off the fans. Keep you head in the game and play smart.

Stillers-Browns games are usually ugly and this one was no exception. But I'll take the W:-) Feel like our defense has played especially well the first two games and having Troy in there makes all the difference in the world. Our special teams have stepped it up too and that is key for us to have success. The worst thing that could've happened to the Browns was to get praised before the season started. They are not ready mentally to be an elite NFL team. In a way I'm happy we got a tough schedule this year because we'll be the underdogs and that's when we play our best! The O-Line has played pretty well also but Ben makes me nervous as hell when he holds onto the ball for too long.

Lift a glass in honor of the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight. For the first time since we first played, and lost 30-17 to, the Cleveland Browns on October 7, 1950 at Forbes Field, We now lead the all-time series against these Shitstains by the lake.

Yes, many thought the spell was broken during the Noll era when the players used to joke that "King Tartan" (named for Tartan Turf at Three Rivers Stadium) would rise up and swallow opponents. But not me.

Many thought the stranglehold that Bill Cowher coached teams had on Cleveland was the clicher. But not me.

I waited until after 58 years of playing these bastards twice a season (on average) that we finally have beaten them more times than they beat us.

For you youngsters I hope this puts the Steelers-Browns series into perspective for you. It took us 58 seasons to get ahead of them. That's how bad it was for the old Steeler fans of the 50s and 60s when the Browns would come to Pittsburgh and kick our asses on and off the field. Thirty years of clear superiority beginning in 1972 was not enough to erase the deficit.

I thank God he has allowed me to live long enough to let me see this day... and of course with blessing me with the good sense to have been a Pittsburgh Steeler fan all my life!

i think considering the 50 mph sustainable winds and the driving rain....i'll take a win, no matter how sloppy.
