I agree with Stipe - I thought it was "pretty obvious" too.
I thought he came out years ago? I always felt he ruined R.E.M. They could've gone down in history as one of the greatest bands ever but Stipe's pretentiousness and political pandering always annoyed me.
Our culture has embraced an unhealthy affinity for homosexuality. Can't blame a way-past-it's-prime band for trying to capitalize on our romance with queerness.Why give Fan himself a couple cool million I wouldn't be surprsed to see him come out of a closet with an A-cup bra on. Or maybe this is all rubbish and R.E.M is just trying to fill the void left by the Village People.
