McFadden Must Want McPaid

Looks like the most hated agent in the NFL got his grubby little hands on McFadden. How much money does he think he's worth? How many games has he even started?

We don't even know what this guy can do on the field for the long haul because we haven't seen enough of him. We'll probably let him go because he hasn't proven he's worth alot of money...yet. I'm still looking for a shutdown DB along the lines of Asante Samuel. Draft one I say!
Can't remember where I saw it but somebody on TV recently said that very few Steelers that were good here made a impact with other teams after they left Pittsburgh. Very true:-)

good point. i've always thought that as well. hardy nickerson but that was YEARS ago. mike vrable but its not like he left over money. he just couldnt start when he was with us due to the talent in front of him. woodson was past his prime but still played safety quite well for years. having trouble thinking of anyone else. tons of fizzles.....thigpen being one i remember well. kevin greene said he felt like a steeler before he even started playing here. then, the douche didnt even resign with us given the opportunity. he left for a few dollars more and may as well have retired. a lot of it is scheme related i'm sure. chad brown was ok, but NEVER put up the kind of numbers he had here because he had so many free runs at people. we guessed right in letting kendrell bell go.....the list goes on and on and on

Off the top of my head Kordell & O'Donnell also both sucked after they left us although neither was actually ever "great" when they were here;-) Randle El is doing okay in Washington I guess. Not worth the money though. Yep we pretty much always make the right decision in who to let go. My only beef with the Rooney's is that we never bring in anyone of substance via free agency. I was just looking at the Browns free agency moves and am really impressed with what they have done so far this off-season;-(
Speaking of O'Donnell I watched Super Bowl 30 a few times recently since they've been rerunning it on NFL Network. We should've won that game;-( Wasn't crazy about our offense back then but I loved our defense!

Bryant McFadden is inconsequential. Gay will pass him on the depth chart this year if he continues his development at last years pace.

If McFadden was worth a shit he would have beaten out old man Townsend by now. He will price himself out of Pittsburgh and the Steelers will be better for it.

I'd like him to stay because he is a valuable reserve. But the Stillers will only pay him as a nickelback and some idiot organization will throw the dollars at him. So he gone... just a matter of time.

Trade the bastard on draft day for a draft pick to be used on a lineman.
