Wind, Solar and BioFuel
I am so sick of hearing this line. Obama is talking about it in his infomercial. McCain says it as well, as has every person that has run for the Presidency since I can remember. We need to get off foreign oil and get on wind, solar and bio. When is it going to happen? It's like Jerry Lewis curing Muscular Dystrophy. Talk about it for 40 years and accomplish nothing.

They'll do it as soon as they can find someone's backyard to put the darn windmills in! Most people (including the Kennedys down on the Cape) don't want those things tarnishing their view (but they'll tell you it will kill off some rare fish that we don't eat anyway...)
I'm still waiting for our conversion to the metric system. That was supposed to happen in 1980! Although the Jerry Lewis analogy was a good one.
I would be glad to put a windmill in my backyard and solar panels too. Would give my neighbor two more things to hate me for. In the meantime I'll use bio-fuel such as burning dead trees to supplement my geo-thermal heating system.
Can't judge much by the Kennedys. They are both Democrats and politicians which makes them hypocrites on both counts.
