Bills Will Be Possessed

When I first saw our schedule, I was licking my chops at the first few weeks. Buffalo usually plays Pittsburgh strong, but usually loses as well. After the devastating injury to Kevin Everett, now we're not facing the same Bills team. That team is going to come out on fire. Make no mistake about it, when injuries like this happen, there is usually a rallying cry right behind it (unless you're the Browns of course...that is an entirely different kind of crying). I can hear the speeches in the locker room now. I can see it if the Bills are within one score late in the game...."Do it for Kevin". I feel horrible for the man and his family and I even feel bad for his teammates. I wish it never happened, but since it did...couldn't it have waited one more week? Those dudes are gonna by hyped.

I disagree. The Bills will come in on a blaze of emotion.

We get an early lead on them, the fire will burn out. They will become despondent. Late in the game they will be exhausted.

Chuck Noll used to always preach intensity based on enthusiasim, not emotion. Emotion wears off in about a quarter. And by then if you're not 2 TDs ahead, emotion will deplete your energy. By early second half you are done.

That's what I look for.
