FAN: Liberal Hollywood Hypocrites

Alone in the house last night for the first time in more than a week, instead of watching a movie we decided to watch the Inauguration Concert on HBO. It was mildly entertaining but full of hypocrites. I just couldn't stop laughing at all the mentions of bringing the country together. We don't have red states or blue states, we have United States. Puke. My question to these folks is easy: Would you have performed at this function had John McCain won and you were invited? Would these same performers say the same rhetoric if a liberal wasn't in office? Hilarious. Perform. Congratulate your candidate. Gloat a little. But please, don't insult everyone's intelligence by pretending that since Obama won, the red state's interests will be given the same preferences and we'll all hold hands and sing "Michael Rowed The Boat Ashore".

Did you see Aretha Franklin in her Aunt Jemima hat? I saw that silly thing on the news this morning for the first time and laughed my ass off at her, and it.

Almost as bad was the time 2 years ago where I was standing backstage with a famous boogie-woogie pianist (who shall remain nameless 'cause it would be dropping names and she and her husband still have to make a living in the music industry) and we were waiting for Aretha to get out of her limo. And it sat there. And we waited. And waited. Finally, this piano player and I were making jokes about, "is the limo big enough for her fat ass?"
"Did someone put her in the trunk and forget the key?" We're laughing and drinking. Finally The Queen of Soul emerges from the limo. She's so fat two guys have to make sure she doesn't fall over walking in the grass. Then it takes 4 concert security guards to lift her up the steps to the stage. Think 4 guys the size of James Farrior. She's got this mumu dress on that looks like a mess tent from Army surplus.

Fan, you better be glad Aretha wasn't in the house at Texas Roadhouse. They would have had to move the whole table from the booth to fit her fat ass in it! It's as big as Texas!!

Aretha's voice is a national treasure. Her body is something else. Go to see her perform if you can. At this weight she won't be with us long.

As for Springsteen. I got over 200Gig of music and not one of his songs. I'll be able to eat at halftime this year for sure.
