6th Street Bridge (now Roberto Clemente) sure looks different than it did back in the day when I used to walk across it at least twice -but often more times- a day.
Tried to figure out where I used to park my car next to where the Alling & Cory building used to be on the North Side.
Near as I can figure, one year it was basically at the base of the outfield wall in right center at PNC. And the next year it was in the vicinity of the first base coaches box.
My buddy "Monk" used to work a coal cinders parking lot over there (1st base side). He'd let me park for free half the time. Especially after the January morning when his girlfriend was working for him cause he was too high to come to the parking lot. She couldn't get the kerosine heater lit to stay warm. I lit the heater for her and after that I parked for free every time Monk's girlfriend filled in for him.
I miss da 'Burgh too... the Monkey Man always had good weed.
