Dump Truck In - Duckett Out

Well, since Najeh Davenport signed a 2 year contract with the Steelers -I'm assuming TJ Duckett is now off the radar. I was kind of hoping we would get TJ cheap and transform him into what he was supposed to be when he was drafted. I'm ok with Najeh as 2 million over 2 years is a great deal for a backup who can start in a pinch.

On another note, since the Ravens lost Adalius Thomas to the Patriots last week - word is that they are interested in Joey Porter. I wonder what Porter would do playing against us? Would he still walk the 50 yard line and try to intimidate? I'm curious to see what he will command on the open market. Dallas seems to be interested as well.

Hines Ward and Alan Faneca were both pretty vocal about Porter getting cut. Faneca has already said on the record he wasn't happy about one of the assistants not getting the head coaching position. I really hope all these guys get behind the new coach and don't form a "disgruntled" group in camp. I'd love to have a great camp and come out of the gate firing on all cylinders.

Dump Truck will get a chance now and I think he can be the "other" RB to Fast Willie's feature role.

Joey Porter with the Ravens? Puhleese! He and Ray Lewis would spend all their time arguing about who has the bigger Johnson.

Faneca never will learn when to JSTFU. Remember how he bitched about Big Ben being QB as a rookie? I suppose his big dumb ass thinks Tommy Maddox could have put that ring on his finger!!

It was time for Peezy to go and Tomlin was just the catalyst for it.

I'm not worried about any of the players not getting behind Tomlin. I am worried about them getting behind in Tomlin's teachings. Those who don't adapt and perform will be discarded. Camp will not be Cowher's Country Club this year. That goes for the Alan Fanecas, Hines Wards, just as much as it does for the John Kuhns on that roster.

It's a new day in Steeler Nation and I am looking forward to what the days ahead have to offer.
