Tomlin Talks, We Listen

There are several short but sweet article over on steelerslive.com about how Mike Tomlin is getting along as the new head coach. In one he makes a nice analogy of Porter being let go here to Culpepper being let go in Minnesota. In another, he talks about the 4-3 vs. 3-4 scheme and how much attention has been paid to that since arriving. He is enamored with LeBeau and says we have the best 3-4 people "in the world" so why wouldn't he play it this year. He then says he saw some tape where Porter and Haggans were up on the line just like a 4-3 and he liked the look of that as well. He said teams will have no idea what to expect when playing the Stillers due to all the talk. Lastly, there was a short article about his relationship with Big Ben Roethlisberger and how well it is developing. He said Ben told him he is especially committed this year after the off-year last season. He then has a great quote: "sometimes it's easier giving directions to a dog that's just been scolded". No doubt. The one thing that really got me excited while reading the articles was his reference to the defense attacking and delivering bone-crushing hits. True That.
