Double Yoi R.I.P.

I woke up in a perfect mood today, and then Still A While broke the news to me via email before I even read today's news. Rest in peace, brother Myron.

With Myron's passing I fear the golden age of Steeler football passes with him.

I was blessed to have lived at the same time on earth as Myron Cope. He left his mark on the world that will remain long after his bones have turned to dust.

I will always cherish the letter he wrote to me on WTAE letterhead welcoming me into Franco's Italian Army in 1972.

The Chief has been waiting for you, Myron. Smoke one for me.

It's the end of an era. Well it was when Myron retired but now it's truly the end of an era;-( I know it's a cliche to say they don't make them like that any more but in Myron's case the cliche is fact. He was a true original. Myron was/is an icon. He won't be forgotten. May he R.I.P.
