Comment Approval Is Close To Being Turned On

I'm getting spammed with almost every new post. It's the same stupid comment about "Here are links you may find interesting" obviously being put out by a bot. If I decide to turn on the approver - Dog, South, all - can still post, but it won't be visible until I approve it. Sorry, but it's getting on my nerves!
