No Turning Back

Well, there is no turning back now from the half-marathon I am planning on running. I officially registered and paid the $55 via credit card. I could have registered closer to September 17th and paid a little extra - but paying now will give me even more incentive. I also booked a hotel room for the night before. Now I just have to convince Still A. Dad to register online and we'll be all set. Props to him also for winning his age group in the weekend race. We ran an 8 mile training run together Thursday morning in a light drizzle. It was a nice run and neither of us felt any ill effects after. The only ill effects I felt were after eating Still A. Maw's breakfast of dippy eggs, bacon, home fries and toast too soon after completing the run. If we can run 8 hilly miles in the mountains of western PA, we can certainly run 13.1 flat miles in Center City Philadelphia. Hoo-Rah!
