Baseball commissioner Bud Selig said on the passing of Kirby Puckett "he was a hall of famer in every aspect of the word". Well, here's hoping Bud meant to add "on the playing field" to his remark. While every article written today wanted to crown him as this great person, all I care to remember are the countless times I've read about him being messed up in domestic abuse cases. One time might be a "he said, she said" kind of thing. Twice is questionable, but COME ON. This man was no saint and just because he died doesn't mean we have to act like he was. Is that such a wrong belief? Read this for one author's chronicles of his past discretions. Fine, he was a great baseball player. I'm not convinced he was a great human being.
