Coverage Is Horrible
I know Still A Dog will say "I told you so, quit watching" but I couldn't help myself. Around 7:00 pm I turned on NFL Network to see some pregame since I'm so jazzed up for the game tonight. I thought maybe I'd get some Tomlin production bits or something. Nah. I got a bunch of buffoons laughing at stuff that didn't make me crack a smile. Gumble is useless to the NFL. He is too polished to do NFL games. To watch him try and banter with the rest of the set is painful. He fist bumped Michael Irvin when he crashed the set to talk about his speech, and the only thing that could look less natural is Rosie O'Donnel at a salad bar. The games on NFL Network are going to be tough to watch this year. I may end up dialing into Sirius via the Internet on the laptop and listening to the home or away team broadcast. Ugh! Makes me think back to Still A Dad and myself periodically tuning in to Myron Cope depending on who was calling the game on TV.

I hate to say I told you so but I told you so.
As for me I got a buddy of mine to Tivo it (I have Tivo but not the NFL Network) and burn me a copy.
I listened to a bit of the game in the car. I was on my way home from the Chesapeake Blues Fest and I picked it up on 1170AM radio out of Wheeling, WV which comes in good as far away as Annapolis, MD after dusk.
More on the game and the festival after I see the photos and videos.
